Home of Artificial Intelligence

AI (Artificial Intelligence) is the trend and hype topic par excellence at the moment. Many jump on the bandwagon and don’t know exactly what they want to do, do AI-washing, everything must have something to do with AI, new buzzwords are invented, but often there is no real innovation behind it, or it turns out that the ideas are too big but the results are too small. Perhaps you have already noticed it, or at work or elsewhere you have come into contact with topics and requirements that, in summary, go something like this: Something with AI
That’s why we’re here, on the one hand to take a somewhat sarcastic and ironic look at the topic, but on the other hand also to provide some information and tips on where to start and which tools are useful. And of course a large selection of great AI memes that can be used whenever someone says: “We don’t know exactly what we want, but something with AI” – and maybe there’s even money from venture capitalists who like to follow the latest trend.

What can we do with Artificial Intelligence?

Artificial intelligence is a broad field encompassing various techniques and applications, so the nature of the task can vary significantly.

OK, that’s to general. Let’s use more examples:

Artificial intelligence, or AI, is a field of computer science that focuses on creating systems and machines capable of performing tasks that typically require human intelligence. AI can be used for a wide range of applications, including:

  1. Natural Language Processing (NLP): AI can understand and generate human language, helping with tasks like text analysis, language translation, chatbots, and content generation.

  2. Machine Learning: AI can learn from data to make predictions, classify information, and recognize patterns. This is useful for tasks like recommendation systems, fraud detection, and image recognition.

  3. Computer Vision: AI can interpret and analyze visual information, enabling facial recognition, object detection, and autonomous vehicles.

  4. Data Analysis: AI can process and analyze large datasets to uncover insights, trends, and anomalies, which is crucial in fields like data science and business intelligence.

  5. Automation: AI can automate repetitive tasks and workflows, improving efficiency in various industries, from manufacturing to customer support.

  6. Decision Support: AI can assist in decision-making by providing data-driven recommendations and insights.

  7. Robotics: AI can control robots and autonomous systems, allowing them to perform tasks in various environments.

  8. Simulations: AI can create realistic simulations for training purposes, such as flight simulators or medical simulations.

  9. Healthcare: AI can assist in medical diagnosis, drug discovery, and personalized treatment plans.

  10. Finance: AI can analyze financial data, predict market trends, and manage risk in investment portfolios.

  11. Gaming: AI can power AI opponents and NPCs (non-playable characters) in video games, making them more challenging and realistic.

  12. Natural Resource Management: AI can help optimize resource usage in agriculture, energy, and environmental monitoring.

  13. Porn: The whole internet is for porn. So AI is also for porn, for sure. Really. No discussion needed. Book closed.

These are just a few examples of what AI can do. The specific capabilities and applications depend on the AI system’s design, training, and the data it has access to.

What is Artificial Intelligence vs what is not Artificial Intelligence?

Sometimes we are confronted with insanely great ideas or new projects and companies that want to have something to do with AI, but actually are not. That’s why we’re going to clear this up. What is AI and what is not?

In general we can say:
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a field of computer science focused on creating systems that can perform tasks requiring human-like intelligence. Therefore, anything that does not possess the following characteristics or capabilities can be considered “not artificial intelligence”.
